A new publication, Girls Grow: A Vital Force in Rural Economies, was recently launched with support from the United Nations Foundation, The Nike Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. “This report highlights the critical need to invest in the health, education and well-being of adolescent girls living in rural economies – girls who are often forgotten because of their age, gender and location,” said Tamara Kreinin, Executive Director of Women and Population at the United Nations Foundation.
