The Sexual Health Society of Victoria has launched the 7th Edition of the National Management Guidelines for Sexually Transmissible Infections.

The Guidelines have been medically edited by Dr David Bradford and have authors from all around Australia - with Sexual Health Physicians from every state contributing. This edition of the Guidelines has been endorsed by AChSHM as well as RACGP, ASHM, ASHHNA, and the Victorian Department of Human Services.

The Guidelines have been reformatted following research conducted by La Trobe University with general practitioners. The user-friendly approach focuses mainly on symptomatic presentation to aid diagnosis, particularly for practitioners who do not address sexual health issues daily in their practices. The chapters are enhanced for ease of diagnosis with flow charts, tables and photos. In addition to this the Guidelines include quick reference tables on the front and back covers for testing specimens and treatment of common sexual health issues.
